The inability of pregnant women to access comprehensive services, including anti-retroviral drugs among other things have been said to be reason why more and more children are infected by HIV/AIDS . By estimate, more than 600,000 children become infected with HIV yearly - 90% because they are born to mother infected with the virus. This ascertain according to UNICEF require greater access to preventive service for pregnant women living with HIV. Despite tremendous increase in funding over the last few years, UNICEF noted sadly that children are yet to receive their fair share.
